Other Dashboard Warning Lights
The alternator on the vehicle keeps the car running. It uses the rotational power of the vehicle engine to generate electricity. It maintains a certain amount of voltage in order to keep the battery at sufficient charge while driving.
When you start the engine, the car will automatically check that the alternator is outputting the correct amount of voltage. This warning light will automatically shut off after a few seconds if the alternator is functional. You will notice that the light stays on if computer has detected an issue with the charging system.
The temperature gauge indicates the coolant level in the engine, which indicates if your car will overheat and damage your engine. If this gauge moves beyond the halfway mark, it is important to pull the car over to the side of the road to let it cool down.
OIL-PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
Sufficient oil pressure helps to lubricate the engine and keep it running efficiently and working longer. High levels of oil pressure are best for the engine. You should immediately shut off the engine to avoid damaging it if you see the oil pressure warning light and the pressure decreases suddenly. You may simply have to top up the oil but if warning light remains on, there could be serious problem that requires a professional mechanic to investigate.

An illuminated ABS light when you are driving indicates a fault in the system, which may mean that it will not work in the event of a sudden stop.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

When vehicle computer finds an issue in the electronic-control system that it cannot correct, vehicle computer turns on a yellow warning indicator labeled “check engine” The check engine light could mean many different things, from a loose gas cap to a serious problem with the engine.
