Left turns start in the left most lane and turn into the left most lane. Right turns start in the right most lane and turn into the right most lane. Again, this is important so as to avoid a possible collision. If you do a proper turn into a left lane then the Ontario Highway Traffic Act requires you to change lanes to the right as soon as it is safe to do so. Turning into the wrong lane would be cause for failure. Failing to lane change into the right lane would be a minor mark.
