Traffic check: Blind spot / conflict

Before proceeding into an intersection, you must check in both directions to make sure it is safe. Not everyone stops at traffic lights or stop signs. You must also check your blind spot for cyclists and pedestrians. If you fail to do so you may have a collision or near collision know as a “conflict”.  A traffic conflict would be cause for failure. If at any time a DriveTest Examiner has to intervene, such as telling you to stop or taking the wheel, to avoid a conflict, it is an automatic failure!
