Lane: Incorrect / late lane

If you are making a right turn you should be in the right lane. If making a left turn you should be in the left lane. If there are designated turn lanes then these must be used.  To do this properly, you must look ahead, look for signs or road markings, be aware of the situation and plan your turn. Improper turns are not only illegal according to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act but very unsafe. Turning from the wrong lane would be cause for failure by a DriveTest Examiner
