Incorrect use of: clutch / brake / gears / steering
- You need to be careful not to stall the vehicle if equipped with a clutch. This would be a minor mark but, if you continually stall, it could lead to a failure as the DriveTest Examiner would assume you lack the skill to drive.
- A three-point turn is done at low speed. In most cases you only need to move the car by releasing the brake and covering it with your foot. If you do need to use the gas (such as if there is a lot of snow and the car will not roll) be very gentle. You do not want to hit or roll over a curb.
- Make sure you select the proper gear for the direction you wish to travel.
- Steering for a three-point turn is quick and the car moves slowly.
